Douglas Karch, 32, of Eldersville, died peacefully Friday, June 7, 2013, in his home.
He was born August 31, 1980, in Washington, a son of Gene Dell and Mary Scouvart Karch of Eldersville.
Mr. Karch was a member of Eldersville United Methodist Church.
He went to school through UCP and the Intermediate Unit, receiving his diploma from Burgettstown School District.
Mr. Karch was a lifelong resident of Eldersville and enjoyed family time, music and going for rides.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are two sisters, Rachel (Bobby) Puskarich of Eldersville and Rebecca Karch of Los Angeles, Calif.; paternal grandparents Gene and Mary Ellen Karch of Eldersville; two uncles, Frank (Diane) Karch of Eldersville and Ken (Mary Jo) Scouvart of Washington; two aunts, Patricia (Bob) McAllister of Louisville, Ky., and Barbara (Frank) Korpos of Weirton, W.Va.; and many cousins.
Deceased are his maternal grandparents, Frank and Martha Scouvart.
Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Jerome A. Stefkovich Funeral Home Inc., 18 Campbell Street, Avella, where services for family and close friends will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 10, with Pastor Larry Garrison officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery, Avella.
