Retired gas well worker enjoyed antique cars
Lloyd M. “Bill” Hilverding, 81, of Waynesburg, died Friday, June 7, 2013, in Rolling Meadows Nursing Home, Waynesburg.
He was born December 16, 1931, in Waynesburg, a son of the late Virgil and Florence Morris Hilverding.
Mr. Hilverding was a graduate of Waynesburg High School.
On December 2, 1961, he married Helen Louise Callahan, who died August 31, 2008.
Mr. Hilverding was a retired gas well worker for Carnegie Natural Gas Co. He also worked with his father for several years and Waynesburg Block Co.
He was a member of Washington Street United Methodist Church in Waynesburg.
Mr. Hilverding enjoyed antique cars, especially his 1946 Ford Tudor.
Surviving are two daughters, Marcia (Dennis) Moore of Waynesburg and Missy (Brian) Henry of Sycamore; four grandchildren, Jonathon Hilverding, Rhiannon Moore, Courtney Henry and Gavin Henry; a great-grandchild, Sophie Johnson; three sisters, Betty Lemley of Waynesburg, Jean Wood of Waynesburg and Eileen Martin of Michigan; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 182 West High Street, Waynesburg, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 11, with the Rev. William Parker officiating, followed by interment in Greene County Memorial Park, Morgan Township. Condolences may be offered at www.behmfh.com.
