Dorothy Marie Batic, 85, of Burgettstown, died Friday, June 14, 2013, in Washington County Health Center, Chartiers Township, with her loving family by her side.
She was born December 22, 1927, in Burgettstown, a daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Hribar.
Mrs. Batic was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church in Burgettstown and SNPJ Lodge in Imperial.
She was an avid baker and enjoyed spending time with family. Her two granddaughters were her heart, as she was a generous and loving grandma.
Surviving are a son, David Batic, with whom she made her home; a daughter, Diane (Frank) Karch of Eldersville; two granddaughters, Ashley and Amberley Karch, both of Eldersville; two sisters, Anne Hayes of Weirton, W.Va., and Martha Macek of Seattle, Wash.; sister-in-law Helen Batic of Moon Township; and many nieces and nephews.
In 1955, she married Adolph Batic, who died June 23, 1982.
Also deceased are three brothers, Stanley, Victor and Martin Marinch, and three sisters, Mildred Capozzoli, Helen Acompora and Louise Kovich.
