Enjoyed horse shows, working on cars

Norman McIe, 71, of Bobtown, died at 12:25 a.m. Saturday, June 15, 2013, in his home.

He was born Thursday, November 20, 1941, in Morgantown, W.Va., a son of the late Otto McIe and Dora Mae Fisher McIe.

Mr. McIe was a graduate of University High School.

He enjoyed working on cars, hunting, NASCAR and going to horse shows.

Mr. McIe had worked for Wilson Chevrolet and later for University Motors in Morgantown. He owned and operated NEMCO Auto Body in Morgantown, retiring in 2005.

On April 1, 1961, he married Peggy Fox, who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Dave (Corinne) McIe and Bryan K. (Stacie) McIe, of Mt. Morris; someone special Tedi (Craig) Brewer of Mt. Morris, whom he considered a daughter; seven grandchildren, Bailey Brewer, Blake Brewer, Troy McIe, Tyler McIe, Cameron McIe, Evan McIe and Chase McIe; three sisters, Patty Byard of Clearwater, Fla., Sandra Stoneking of Morgantown and Susan Siverling of Bobtown; two brothers, Robert McIe of Westover, W.Va., and Richard McIe of Morgantown; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are a daughter-in-law, Shellee McIe; a sister, Jerry Barb; and a brother, Otto “Junior” McIe.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., Daryl L. Throckmorton, owner/director, 324 Mt. Morris Road, P.O. Box 478, Mt. Morris, PA 15349, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, with Pastor David Crowe officiating. Burial will be private.
