Loving wife
Amber Rose Danowski Blackhurst, 46, of Bethel Park, formerly of Baldwin, passed away Friday, June 14, 2013, after a four-year battle with cancer.
She was born September 11, 1966, a daughter of the late Ambrose and Virginia Danowski.
Mrs. Blackhurst was a loving wife of Scott Blackhurst; sister of Bruce (Carlotta) Danowski, Pam (Ray) Panicco and Amy Danowski (Chris Lassak); aunt of Jordan, Preston, Blake, Kelsey, Brady and Brogan; and daughter-in-law of Becky Lee (Dennis) Grim and David (Elaine) Blackhurst.
Also surviving is her best friend, Tracy Hickly Milton.
She will be deeply missed by all friends who knew and cared for her.
Mrs. Blackhurst was a criminal research specialist for the Secret Service for more than 27 years.
She was a graduate of Baldwin High School.
Mrs. Blackhurst and her husband enjoyed many vacations to Tulum, Mexico, where they were married in May 2009.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Monday in Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Inc., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills, where a service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 18.
“You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have. Ask, believe, receive – the journey is the beautiful part” were words she took solace in saying.
