Francesco “Frank” Ferrera, 79, of Peters Township, died unexpectedly Monday, June 17, 2013.
He was born April 1, 1934, in Alvito, Italy, a son of the late Carlo and Tonina Brusca Ferrera.
Mr. Ferrera was a member of St. Benedict the Abbot Church and was proud of his Italian heritage.
He was the beloved husband for 53 years of Marinette “Mary” Ferrera; loving father of AnneMarie Blythe and Toni (David) Wolfe; cherished grandfather of Stacy, Rachel, David, Tommy (Lindsey), Antonio and Rebecca; great-grandfather of Wyatt; brother of Anthony (Madeline) Ferrera; and father-in-law of David Blythe.
Funeral arrangements by Beinhauer Funeral Home. Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at 2828 Washington Road, Peters Township, 724-941-3211. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, June 21, in St. Benedict the Abbot Church, Peters Township. Entombment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Township.
