Betty Jane Miller, 87, died Sunday, June 23, 2013, in Washington County Health Center, Chartiers Township.
She was born December 31, 1925, in Claysville, a daughter of the late Charles E. and Nettie Jackson Cunningham.
Mrs. Miller was a cook who worked for The Meadows racetrack kitchen for 24 years and Hopewell Diner for five years and was employed by Thrift Drug, where she worked for 10 years.
She was a member of Taylorstown Christian Church.
On January 28, 1946, she married John L. Miller, who died December 29, 1989.
Surviving are two daughters, Nancy L. (William) Vester and Sherry A. (Paul) Allen, both of Washington; eight grandchildren, Terri Smith, Michelle Vester, Heather Wilson, Traci Bryner, Joshua Allen, Jason Allen, Nathan Miller and Stephanie Kay; 12 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Deceased are a son, Thomas Miller; two brothers, Kenneth and Donald Cunningham; and five sisters, Vica Steffick, Emma Butterfield, Edith Scott, Frances Horr and Myrtle Bedillion. Friends will be received from 2 to 7 p.m., the time of service, Sunday, June 30, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with the Rev. Stephen Smythers officiating.
