Member of St. Louise de Marillac Church

MaryAnn McMillan, 88, of Friendship Village of South Hills, Upper St. Clair, formerly of New Bern, N.C., and Canonsburg, died Monday, June 24, 2013.

She was born January 22, 1925, a daughter of the late John and Mary Ranone.

At the time of her death, she was a member of St. Louise de Marillac Church and was a former member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in New Bern and St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Canonsburg.

In January 1984, she retired from Universal Cyclops Steel Corp. in Mt. Lebanon, where she was supervisor of compensation and benefits.

Deceased is her husband of 57 years, Thomas R. McMillan, whom she married September 18, 1943.

Surviving are a son, TR “Rick” McMillan Jr. (Ernesta) of McMurray; three grandchildren, Terry R. Serena (Scott), Thomas R. McMillan III (Holli) and Michael J. McMillan (Kathleen); and eight great-grandchildren, Dylan, Gregory and Jason Serena, Jessee and Thomas R. IV McMillan, Amelia, Michael John II “Jack” and Mary McMillan. A grandson, Mitchell Serena, is deceased.

Friends will be received from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, June 29, in Beinhauer Funeral Home, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray, 724-941-3211, followed at 10:30 a.m. by a Mass in St. Louise de Marillac Church, Upper St. Clair, with Father Michael Caridi as celebrant. Committal and inurnment will be private in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
