Twila Mae Moore

Loved her pet birds

Twila Mae Moore, 92, of Eldersville, died Thursday, June 27, 2013, in Donnell House.

She was born April 28, 1921, in Rea Station, Washington County, a daughter of Grover Cleveland Holmes and Marie Allen Marris Holmes.

Mrs. Moore was a homemaker who loved her pet birds, dog and enjoyed going to flea markets.

On April 1, 1975, she married Clayton Lee Moore, who died March 21, 2007.

Surviving are two sons, David Joe Grandon of Mt. Clemens, Mich. and Larry Joe Grandon of Prosperity; three daughters, Elizabeth Marie (Thomas) Bane of Eldersville, Mary Lou (Robert) Hartzog of Washington and Pearl Louise Blanco of Mt. Clemens; a sister, Shirley A. Moore; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Deceased are two sons, Robert Lee Grandon and William Robert Grandon; three brothers, Grover Lee, William ‘Buck” and Joe Holmes; and a sister, Frances Salisbury.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, June 29, with Capt. Mike Jung of the Salvation Army officiating.
