Kathryn A. Kazarick, 53, of Washington, died Saturday, June 29, 2013, in Standish Personal Care Home, following a 15-year battle with breast cancer.
She was born March 24, 1960, in Washington, a daughter of the late Henry E. and Patricia J. Jordan Yankovitch.
Mrs. Kazarick was a member of St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church in Washington all of her life.
She was a 1978 graduate of Trinity High School.
Washington Hospital had employed her earlier in her life. She also worked at Karen’s Creative Classroom, where her greatest joy was working with children.
As a homemaker, she enjoyed cooking, floral and vegetable gardening and making decorative wreaths for her home.
On October 15, 1983, in St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church in Washington, she married Robert A. Kazarick, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Jennifer Lynn Kazarick and Kayla Renee Kazarick, both living at home; a brother, Edward M. Yankovitch and his partner Bill Jackson of Washington; a sister, Jodi L. Raymond of Washington; and three nieces, Lindsay, Ashley and Hilary Kazarick.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Monday in Dale D. DeAngelo Funeral Home, 1290 Jefferson Avenue, Washington, where a blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 2, with the Rev. Thomas D. O’Neil officiating. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
