Sarah Allegro
Sarah Allegro, 99, died February 26, 2013, in Treasure Coast Hospice, Fort Pierce, Fla.
She was born in Carnegie and moved to Florida in 1980 to live with her daughter and son-in-law, Catherine and James Behanna.
Mrs. Allegro was a homemaker.
She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Port St. Lucie, Fla.
Her hobby was crocheting, which she had been doing since she was 10 years old.
Survivors include a daughter, Catherine (James) Behanna of Port St. Lucie; two sons, Anthony (Roxanna) Allegro Sr. of Tucson, Ariz., and James Allegro of Carleton, Mich.; a stepdaughter, Mary Jane Ashmore of Washington; a sister, Frances Villers of Washington; a brother, Tony Bongiovanni of Washington; 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Anthony Allegro, and a stepson, John Allegro.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where a blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, with Father Thomas O’Neil officiating.
