Rose Marie Susa
Rose Marie Susa, 92, of Strabane, passed away peacefully Monday, March 4, 2013, in her home.
She was born August 26, 1920, in Meadow Lands, a daughter of the late Frank and Frances Santel Zitko.
Mrs. Susa lived most of her life in Strabane.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church. In her early years, she worked for Union Camp.
Mrs. Susa was a member of SNPJ Lodge 138 of Strabane.
She was an avid Steelers fan and enjoyed crocheting, sewing, gardening and baking.
On July 7, 1945, she married Albert Susa, who died February 11, 1995.
Surviving are two daughters, Terry Rose (Thomas) Feightner of White Oak and Darlene (Tim) Anderson of South Fayette Township; two granddaughters, Katie Rose Feightner and Erica Lynn Anderson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the last of her immediate family.
Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are three sisters, Frances Fritz, Mary Rathbone and Katherine T. Graytock.
Friends are welcome from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Salandra Funeral Service Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120, where a blessing service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, March 7, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Canonsburg. Interment will follow in Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg.
