Cheryl L. Froment, 56, of Houston, passed away Friday, March 8, 2013, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born May 9, 1956, a daughter of William C. and Birdie Westfall of Prosperity, who survive.

Mrs. Froment was a 1974 graduate of McGuffey High School and a 1978 graduate of Geneva College.

She taught at several schools throughout Washington County, most recently as a permanent substitute teacher at McGuffey High School.

Mrs. Froment was an avid reader and music lover. She enjoyed spending time with her family at their cabin in Logan, Ohio.

On May 2, 1981, she married Timothy E. Froment, who survives. She also leaves behind her beloved daughter, Alyssa Marie (Wayne Kraeer) Froment of Washington.

Also surviving are a sister, Barbara (Jeff) Waltz of Washington; a brother, Bill (Linda) Westfall of Dover, Ohio; a nephew, Jeffery Waltz of Capon Bridge, W.Va.; a niece, Kylea (Rob) Fraser of St. Mary’s, W.Va.; a niece, Kelsey Waltz of Washington; a niece, Stephanie (Zac) Norman of New Philadelphia, Ohio; a nephew, Bill Westfall Jr. of Cleveland, Ohio; a niece, Katelyn (Tony) Yoder of Sugar Creek, Ohio; two great-nieces, Briana and Kinley Norman; a great-nephew, Keaton Fraser; and many, many friends.

Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Beinhauer Funeral Home, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, 724-941-3211. A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, March 11, in Living Stone Community Church, 265 North Avenue, Washington, the lower level of Beth Israel Synagogue, with the Rev. Richard LaFountain officiating.
