Robert Leroy Yater

Robert Leroy Yater, 68, of Washington, died Tuesday, March 12, 2013, in his home, after being in declining health. 

He was born December 12, 1944, in Washington, a son of the late Clyde Sr. and Laura Zediker Yater.

Mr. Yater attended Trinity High School and worked as a driver for Waste Management for 30 years.

He enjoyed playing bingo and going to The Meadows. He was an avid Steelers fan.

Surviving are his companion, Emily Harris, three sons, Michael Richards Sr., Eric Richards and Robert Richards, and two daughters, Jodi Miller and Carla Richards, all of Washington; two brothers, Clyde Yater Jr. of Washington and Charles Yater of California; two sisters, Betty McClain and Sandy Brown, both of Washington; 16 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Deceased are a companion, Barbara Ann Casterline Richards; a son, Keith Richards; a brother, Jack Yater; and a sister, Laura Yater.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 16. Additional information and a guest book are available at www.NealFuneralHome.com.
