Alan F. Zarak

Alan F. Zarak, 68, of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., formerly of East Brunswick, N.J., and a native of Cokeburg, died peacefully Tuesday, March 5, 2013, in Palm Beach Gardens, after a courageous two-year battle with cancer.

He worked in the finance department at various car dealerships in New Jersey before retiring to Palm Beach Gardens in 2006 to be near his family and to pursue his passion for photography.

Mr. Zarak was the owner and photographer of Portrait EFX of the Palm Beaches.

He was a Vietnam veteran.

Deceased are mother Terese Chambers, formerly of Scenery Hill; father Armand Zarak, formerly of Cokeburg; and brother Alex Zarak, formerly of Piscataway, N.J.

Surviving are a loving daughter, Christa Johnson and husband Kevin of Palm Beach Gardens; a brother, Anthony Zarak of East Brunswick; a sister, Grace Archibald of Cokeburg; two sisters-in-law, Arlene Zarak and Elizabeth Zarak; his ex-wife, Linda Zarak; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Most lovingly, he will be missed by his two granddaughters, Jordan and Jade Johnson of Palm Beach Gardens.

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 16, in Aycock-Riverside Funeral and Cremation Center, 1112 Military Trail, Jupiter, Fla.
