Dorothy Ann Alexy
Dorothy Ann Alexy, 90, of Washington, died Wednesday, March 13, 2013, in a UPMC hospital, Pittsburgh, following a brief illness.
She was born September 12, 1922, in Arden, a daughter of Charles and Marie Pape Alexy.
Ms. Alexy had been a housekeeper and attendant at Stewart Barnhill Funeral Home for 42 years.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church.
Ms. Alexy enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, word searches and talking on the phone.
Surviving are two brothers, Henry (Susan) Alexy of Washington and William (Theresa) Alexy of Wauchula, Fla.; a sister, Marie Alexy, with whom she made her home; four nephews, Denny, Billy, Augie and Eddie Alexy; two nieces, Becky Palfreyman and Debbie Alexy; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Deceased are two brothers, Charles and August Alexy, and a nephew, Charles Alexy Jr.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 16, with the Rev. Kenneth Schott officiating.
