Lucille F. Redd, 61, of Washington, passed away Friday, March 15, 2013, in Donnell House, Washington.

She was born August 25, 1951, a daughter of John H. and the late Faye R. Redd.

Miss Redd was a lifelong resident of Redd Run Road.

She was raised on a dairy farm, the second of five siblings, Linda Joyce (Higgins) of Washington, John Douglas, Barbara Kay and Richard Wade. Her sister, Linda, is her sole surviving sibling.

After graduating from Trinity Senior High School in June 1969, she spent her life working in professional roles that gave her the opportunity to serve, care for and inspire the people of Washington.

Miss Redd was a member of Laboratory Presbyterian Church and Martha Washington Garden Club. She was an avid bingo player and frequent winner on Friday nights at North Franklin Township Volunteer fire hall.

Surviving, in addition to her father and sister, are two children, Kimberly Redd-O’Brien (Patrick) of Washington and Timothy Redd of Silver Spring, Md., and several loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Nichol Funeral Home, 1873 East Maiden Street, Washington. All are invited to join her children for a memorial service at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 21, in Laboratory Presbyterian Church, 23 Manse Street, Washington. Luncheon and refreshments will be served immediately following. A toast to her life will follow later that evening at 7:30 p.m. in Kopper Kettle, Route 40, Washington.
