Arveda A. Inghram Lemley Throckmorton
Arveda A. Inghram Lemley Throckmorton, 95, of Washington, formerly of Waynesburg, died Saturday, March 23, 2013, in Southmont of Presbyterian SeniorCare at Washington.
She was born September 13, 1917, in Waynesburg, a daughter of the late John and Goldie Bosworth Kerns.
Mrs. Throckmorton was a homemaker. She worked for several years preparing income tax returns with her late husband.
She resided most of her life in the Waynesburg area, where she was a member of Washington Street United Methodist Church. She attended Valley Chapel United Methodist Church in Holbrook. She was a member of Lady Greene Rebekah Lodge for many years.
Mrs. Throckmorton was devoted to her family. She enjoyed hosting family and friends in her home every Christmas Eve. She also enjoyed gardening, flowers and loved the color red.
Surviving are daughter Mary Ellen Inghram (companion David Dulaney) of Waynesburg; nephews John R. Inghram (wife Debbie Smith) of Washington, Harry Inghram (wife Alexa) of Bristoria and Johnny Bill Tharp; niece Brenda Roach (Richard) of Waynesburg; stepson Bruce Lemley of Ohio; nine grandchildren, Tracy McDade, Charles Hunnell, Kenneth Hunnell, Tammy Hunnell, Toni Snyder, Steven Hunnell, William Hunnell, Tanya Zimmerman and Marcia Moore; 11 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are her husband of 44 years, Arthur K. Inghram; her husband of 10 years, Francis (Lefty) Lemley; and two sisters, Betty Tharp and Ruth Inghram.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 182 West High Street, Morgan Township, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 28, with the Rev. Ben Williamson officiating. Burial will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg. Memorial contributions may be made to Bowlby Public Library, 311 North West Street, Waynesburg, PA 15370.
