Edith Lucille Pangburn
Edith Lucille Pangburn, 93, of Washington, formerly of Elrama, died Tuesday, March 26, 2013, in Washington County Health Center, Chartiers Township.
She was born April 4, 1919, in Sunnyside, a daughter of Floyd and Susan Kelly Bonnell.
Mrs. Pangburn was a 1937 graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School.
While residing in Elrama, she attended Elrama United Methodist Church. After her husband George’s death, she moved to and resided in Washington and was a member of Washington United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed tending to her flowers and had a love for animals.
Mrs. Pangburn was a 50-year member of Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 418 of Elizabeth.
She was a devoted mother of three sons, Samuel S. Pangburn of Washington and George C. Pangburn and wife Pamela and William L. Pangburn and wife Carole, boh of Midlothian, Va.; two grandchildren, Philip G. Pangburn and wife Jessica and Carolyn E. Freiert and husband Jason; great-granddaughter Zoe T. Pangburn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, deceased are her husband, George Weldon Pangburn, who died April 8, 1971; three brothers, Floyd, Freeman and Wayne Bonnell; and three sisters, Gladys Smichnick, Marie Pasini and Bonnie Ferry.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Frye Funeral Home Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 30, with the Rev.
