Dorothy Deane Spragg Yeager

Dorothy Deane Spragg Yeager, 90, of Waynesburg, formerly of Spraggs, died at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2013, in Precious Moments Personal Care Home, Carmichaels.
She was born Friday, August 25, 1922, in Adena, Jefferson County, Ohio, a daughter of the late Delbert Floyd and Edna Vinora Morgan Spragg.
Mrs. Yeager was a retired employee of the U.S. Postal Service, serving as postmaster at Spraggs Post Office for 10 or 11 years.
She was a member of First Christian Church of Waynesburg and previously was a member of East Franklin Grange 1709 of Waynesburg.
Mrs. Yeager was a homemaker who enjoyed ironing, playing games and, in her younger days, yodeling and playing the piano.
On November 30, 1940, she married John Harold Yeager, who died December 12, 2003.
Surviving are three daughters, Shirley (Frank) Blaker, Ruth Yeager-Thornberg and Phyllis (Joe) Thomas, all of Waynesburg; a son, Mark E. (Lisa) Yeager of Elkton, Va.; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Marion (Marjorie) Spragg of Dover, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a son, John William “Bill” Yeager; two sisters, Mildred (Harold) Hilligas and Helen (Woodrow) Goff; and a twin brother, Donald (Monie) Spragg.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday in Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., Daryl L. Throckmorton, owner/director, 197 North Maiden Street, Waynesburg, PA 15370, where services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 11, with Minister Mike Hasselbring and Pastor Jack Fowler officiating.
