Joane Lyn Petrie
Joane Lyn Petrie, 45, of Butler, went to be with her Lord Monday, May 13, 2013, in Good Samaritan Hospice, Cabot.
She was born December 23, 1967, in Washington, a daughter of the late William M. and Glennetta E. Swart Mosier.
Mrs. Petrie was a 1985 graduate of Trinity High School. She was 1988 graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. She was the owner of Wooden Cross Candles & Baby Name Guide.
She was a member of Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church.
She loved her family, painting, missionary work, reading and history, especially Gettysburg. She was a loving, dedicated and devoted mother to her children.
Surviving are her loving husband, Gary M. Petrie, whom she married August 13, 1994; children Brooke L. Petrie, Alexander M. Petrie and Daniel G. Petrie, all at home; siblings Billie (Terence) Serbak, Dennis Mosier and Karen (Jerry) Adams, all of Washington; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Fox Funeral Home Inc., 410 West Main Street, Saxonburg, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 16, with the Rev. David Brewer officiating. Interment will follow in Saxonburg Memorial Church Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterial Church Mission Fund, P.O.
