Robert Arthur Lunn
Robert Arthur Lunn, 86, of Washington, died Friday, May 10, 2013, in Washington Hospital.
He was born August 18, 1926, in Irwin, a son of the late James M. Lunn and Ruth Wright Lunn.
Mr. Lunn was in the U.S. Navy aboard the aircraft carrier USS Princeton.
He was a graduate of Penn State University with a business degree.
Mr. Lunn was a bank manager at PNC (formerly PNB) for 45 years.
He was a lifelong member of Taylorstown Presbyterian Church and the chaplain at the Taylorstown American Legion. He was a member of Sunset Lodge, 32nd degree, a former Boy Scouts scoutmaster and an Eagle Scout.
Mr. Lunn was a very handy person who enjoyed caning chairs and the outdoors.
On December 20, 1948, he married Joyce Arlene Winand, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Scott “Shoe” Lunn of Deer Lake; a daughter, Rebecca Danley of Tuscon, Ariz.; three grandchildren, Joyce Ann, Melissa and Eric Lunn; and three great-grandchildren, Sarah, Haley and Katelynn.
Deceased is a brother, Stanley Dean Lunn.
A memorial service will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 26, in Taylorstown Presbyterian Church with a dinner to follow. Arrangements are being handled by William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Taylorstown Presbyterian Church, Main Street, Box 150, Taylorstown, PA 15365.
