Donley D. Cain Sr., 73, of Waynesburg, died at 3:10 a.m. Friday, May 24, 2013, in Donnell House, Washington.
He was born Sunday, July 30, 1939, in Waynesburg, a son of the late Edward William and Edith L. Cain Cain.
Mr. Donley was a member of Waynesburg Eagles Club Aerie 598 and the former Waynesburg Elks Lodge 757.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and going to The Meadows casino.
Mr. Donley worked as a building maintenance engineer for Waynesburg Armory National Guard, retiring in 1998.
On February 20, 1959, he married Mary Beard, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Pam S. (Lloyd) Fike of Sycamore; four sons, Donley D. Cain Jr. and companion Robin Gill of Mendon, Ohio, William P. (Ronda) Cain of Waynesburg, Art L. Cain of Waynesburg and Rusty L.(Melissa) Cain of Fairmont, W.Va.; 11 grandchildren, Melissa Fike, Lloyd Fike, Rebecca Crouse, Diane Stokes, Alicia Cain, Joshua Cain, Baillie Nelson, Travis Cain, Jessica Cain, Emma Cain and Abby Cain; eight great-grandchildren, Andrew Fike, Collin Fike, Jonathan Oliver, Kiley Bledsoe, Isabella Stokes, Emily Ann Stokes, Sarah Stokes and Harmony Fike; a sister, Mary Ruth Long of Salem, Ohio; two brothers, Rich Cain of Courtland, Ohio and Fred Cain of Cleveland, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a sister, Patricia Daruda, and a brother, Jack E. Cain Sr.
Friends will be received from noon to 3 p.m., the time of service, Sunday, May 26, in Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., Daryl L. Throckmorton, owner/director, 197 North Maiden Street, Waynesburg, PA 15370, with the Rev. Larry Douglas officiating. Burial will be private.
