Boyd R. Frazee

Lifelong Washington County resident

Boyd R. Frazee, 85, of Washington, went home to his Lord Wednesday, May 29, 2013.

He was born October 31, 1927, in Lone Pine, a son of Dee Sr. and Mae Cain Frazee.

Mr. Frazee was a lifelong Washington County resident and a member of North Buffalo Presbyterian Church.

He was an all-star football player at Trinity High School and was awarded a full scholarship to Washington & Jefferson College, but he elected to proudly serve his country in the U.S. Marines.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Drakenfeld for 40 years.

Mr. Frazee liked to golf and bowl. He was a life member of Elks Lodge 776 and a member of American Legion Post 175.

On July 22, 1950, he married Clara Jean Gorby, who survives. She was the love of his life, and he proudly told everyone they were married for 62 years.

Also surviving are his nephew, Rick McFeely and wife Marlene and niece Kathy McFeely, who were dedicated to his loving care; sisters-in-law Lois “Honey” wife of Robert Moore, and Ruth Walker; brother-in-law Dick McFeely; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are brothers Franklin, who died in infancy, Freeman, Dee Frazee Jr., Harry and Leland and sisters Evelyn Rock and Doris McFeely.

Arrangements are private and are being handled by William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., Washington. Memorial contributions may be made to North Buffalo Church Memorial Fund, 711 Rural Valley Road, Washington, PA 15301.
