Frank Blumer

Frank Blumer, 83, of Washington, died February 8, 2013, in Donnell House, Washington.
He was born September 9, 1929, in Washington, a son of William and Mary Lipp Sisul Blumer.
Mr. Blumer owned and operated Frank Blumer Cleaning Co. in Washington for many years. He later worked as an investigator with Washington County Domestic Relations for 20 years. For several years, he also served as maintenance supervisor for Immaculate Conception Church.
For 24 years, he served as a North Franklin Township supervisor, holding the posts of board chairman and roadmaster.
He was an active outdoorsman and enjoyed both hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed his garden, especially giving away the fresh vegetables to his friends.
Mr. Blumer was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and, at one time, served as an usher and actively volunteered at the annual church festivals.
On January 22, 1951, he married Martha Tichnel, who died December 25, 2009.
Surviving are a daughter, Joyce Richards of Washington, and sons Frank Blumer of Edinboro and Eric Blumer of Plain City, Ohio.
Deceased, in addition to his wife, are nine brothers, Col. Michael, Steve, Master Sgt. John, Joseph, Rudy, Matthew and George Sisul and Paul and Nick Blumer; and two sisters, Helen Paige and Ann Beckman.
At the request of the deceased, there was no visitation.
