Dorothy Baker

Dorothy Baker, 63, of Nemacolin, died Monday, November 4, 2013, in Southwest Regional Medical Center, Waynesburg.
She was born December 23, 1949, in McKeesport, a daughter of the late Joseph and Pauline Babella Slezak.
Her husband, Ernest Arthur Baker, is deceased.
Surviving are three children, Begene Bahl and husband Derek of Harrisburg, Christine Baker and fiancé Eric Palmer of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Ernest Baker of Carmichaels; a grandson, Dawson Ball; and three sisters, Rosemarie Slezak, Marlene Quesenberry and husband James and Annette Slezak.
She was a graduate of West Mifflin High School (North) and Waynesburg College in 1998. She was working on her master’s degree in education at Waynesburg University.
Mrs. Baker worked as a substitute teacher.
She was a member of St. Hugh Roman Catholic Church in Carmichaels.
Mrs. Baker enjoyed singing, reading, writing poems and cooking.
Friends will be received from 1 to 2 p.m., the time of service, Friday, November 8, in Lesako Funeral Home Inc., 204 Dowlin Avenue, Carmichaels, PA 15320, 724-966-5100, Paul M.
