Frank A. Bogden, 67, of Waynesburg, died Monday, November 18, 2013, in his home.

Arrangements are incomplete and are being handled by Behm Funeral Home, Jefferson. A complete obituary will be published in a later edition.

U.S. Army reserve

Kevin John Robert Boni, 22, of McDonald, died suddenly Sunday, November 17, 2013.

He was the beloved son of Jeanine and James Adams and Kevin and Robbie Boni; loving father of Asher and Leah Listisen; brother of Amanda Cagnon; grandson of Marion and the late Robert Keefer and John Boni and the late Olivia Chaslik; nephew of Robert and Cheryl Keefer, William and Marylou Keefer, Marion Keefer, Rosely Keefer,Valerie and Paul Boni, Linda and Greg Andrews and the late John Boni.

Mr. Boni was in the 630th Transport Co., U.S. Army Reserves out of Washington.

Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in David J. Henney Funeral Home, 6364 Library Road, Route 88, Library, where services will be held at a time to be announced Friday, November 22.

Canonsburg resident

Herta A. “Billie” Gallagher, 86, of Canonsburg, died Sunday, November 17, 2013, in Canonsburg Hospital.

She was the beloved wife of the late James F. Gallagher.

Surviving are brother Brad Gallagher and sister-in-law Elsie Gallagher.

At the request of the deceased, all services are private and have been entrusted to Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, 724-260-5546. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township.

Loving wife and mother

Theresa Thomas Mihalina, 94, of Richeyville, died peacefully Saturday, November 16, 2013, in Baldock Health Care Centre, North Huntingdon.

She was born January 17, 1919, a daughter of the late George and Anna Kidora Thomas.

Mrs. Mihalina was a lifelong member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church in Brownsville.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and sister. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.

On August 2, 1947, she married Frank Mihalina, who died February 16, 1993.

Surviving are a son, Franklin Mihalina and wife Debra of Monroeville; two sisters, Margaret Thomas and Helen Beveridge, both of Richeyville; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are three brothers, George, Mike and John Thomas and four sisters, Mary Burns, Juliana Tears, Anna Hegedus and Olga Tears.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, where a prayer service will be held at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, November 20, followed by a Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m. in St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, Brownsville, PA with Rev. Jerome Botsko as celebrant. Interment will follow in the St. Nicholas Church Cemetery, Brownsville.

Retired electrician served in Navy

Joseph Zywan, 93, of Finleyville, died Saturday, November 16, 2013, in Southwestern Nursing Center, West Mifflin.

He was born October 29, 1920, in Logans Ferry, a son of John and Anna Hutnyk Zywan.

Mr. Zywan was retired as an electrician at Duquesne Light Company’s Elrama Station.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Mr. Zywan was a member of Nativity of the Virgin Mary Orthodox Church in Monongahela, American Legion Post 613 in Finleyville, Mon Valley Shipmates, Henry M. Phillips Lodge 337 F&AM in Monongahela, Scottish Rite Valley of Pittsburgh, Syria Temple in Pittsburgh and an honorary life member of Finleyville Volunteer Fire Department.

For more than 50 years, he brought joy to children of all ages in the area playing Santa Claus during the Christmas season.

Surviving are two sons, Daniel Zywan and wife Katherine of Baltimore, Md., and David Zywan and wife Linda of Monongahela; a brother, Larry Tutak of Conneaut; a sister, Helen Zilla of Uniontown; three grandchildren, Alexis, Nadia and Nicholas; a great-granddaughter, Tessa; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are his wife, Pearl Papaila Zywan, who died October 12, 2012, and a daughter, Mary Lou, who died at birth.

Friends will be received from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Kegel Funeral Home Inc., Tim P. Kegel, supervisor, 3560 Washington Avenue, Finleyville. Services will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 21, in Nativity Orthodox Church, High Street, Monongahela, with the Very Rev. Father George Yatsko, as celebrant. Everyone please meet at the church Thursday morning. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery with full military rites accorded by Mon Valley Honor Guard. Parastas services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday evening in the funeral home.
