Andrew Reck, 38, of Wheeling, W.Va., died Thursday, November 21, 2013.
He was a 1994 graduate of Wheeling Park High School.
Mr. Reck was a celebrated athlete and a best friend to many who “never met a stranger.”
Surviving is his fiancée, Amber Conrad. Surviving family members include his mother, Cathy Reck; a brother, Mike Reck; a sister, Amy (Chris) Mizer; nieces Abby and Emma; Aunt Jo Reilly; Aunt Pat and Uncle Bryce Hatch; and Sue and Joe Deegan and Jim and Ginny Hatch and their families.
Deceased are his grandparents, Mary and James Reilly.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, November 24, in Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger Street, Elm Grove, W.Va. A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
