Canonsburg resident was carpenter, cabinet maker

John Tomasevich, 72, of Canonsburg, formerly of North Huntingdon, passed away unexpectedly at 7:40 p.m. Wednesday, November 20, 2013, in Canonsburg Hospital.

He was born February 9, 1941, in Yugoslavia.

Mr. Tomasevich was a self-employed carpenter and cabinet maker. He lived most of his life in the North Huntingdon area and the past three years in Canonsburg.

Surviving are a daughter, Laura (Dr. Michael Leonard) Tomasevich of Canonsburg; two sons, Michael Tomasevich of Gulfport, Miss., and James Tomasevich of Washington state; a grandson, Seth Tomasevich; and several nieces and nephews.

He was the last of his immediate family.

Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Salandra Funeral Service Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 25, with Pastor Steven Parkhill officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg.
