Margaret Ann “Peggy” Eland Truchan, 77, of Bentleyville, Gibson, died unexpectedly Saturday, November 23, 2013, in the Canonsburg Hospital emergency room.
She was born August 19, 1936, in California, a daughter of Norman Ray Eland and Mary E. Sable Eland.
A graduate of Charleroi High School, Mrs. Truchan was a member of Ave Maria Parish, Bentleyville.
Surviving are her husband, John Truchan; four children, Carol Jane Kerr (Thomas) of Monongahela, James Truchan (Ronda) of Tampa, Fla., William Truchan (Sandra) of St. Mary’s and JoAnn Truchan of Imperial; grandchildren Kathleen and Patricia Kerr, Nina Trice and Anin, Benjamin and Abraham Truchan; a great-granddaughter, Raquel Buzalka; a sister, Norma J. Fava (Louis) of Bentleyville; a brother, Robert J. Eland (Deborah) of Tampa; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where a prayer service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 27, followed at 10:30 a.m. by a Mass of Christian Burial in Ave Maria Church, Bentleyville, with the Rev. Edward L. Yuhas as celebrant. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Carroll Township.
