Margaret “Maggie” DiBacco, 98, of Avella, died at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, November 23, 2013, in Southmont of Presbyterian SeniorCare, Washington.
She was born January 21, 1915, in Monongahela, a daughter of the late Antonio and Maria Suppo Fusarelli.
Mrs. DiBacco attended school in Eldersville and lived in Avella since the 1940s.
She was a member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church of Avella and Cross Creek Senior Citizens.
Mrs. DiBacco loved to spend time with her family. She enjoyed cooking, reading and dancing, especially the polka.
On September 7, 1933, she married Louis DiBacco, who died March 24, 1998.
Surviving are a daughter, Marie Frank of Burgettstown; 13 grandchildren, John D. (Kim) Carter, Lisa (Eric) Paris, Barry (Janice) Frank, Dominic (Diane) Frank Jr., Valerie (Alex) Paris, Robin Virtue, Michael DiBacco Jr., Mark (Dianna) DiBacco, Melissa (Dennis) Renninger, Dorine (Charles) DiBacco, Michele (Richard) Creps, Christine (Brant) Miller and Gary (Nicole) DiBacco; 27 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, James (Mary) Fusarelli of Avella.
Deceased, in addition to her husband and parents, are two sons, Michael and Louis DiBacco Jr.; a daughter, Elizabeth “Betty” Carter; a brother, John Fusarelli; and two sisters, Mary Lusakow and Susan Lis.
Friends and family will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Jerome A. Stefkovich Funeral Home Inc., 18 Campbell Street, Avella, PA 15312. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 27, in St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, 97 Highland Avenue, Avella, with the Rev. Robert M. Staszewski officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
