Charles William Cummins

Charles William Cummins, 73, of South Franklin Township, died Sunday, November 24, 2013, in Donnell House, Washington, following a lingering battle with pulmonary fibrosis.
He was born May 29, 1940, in Washington, a son of Arthur and Ethel Carpenter Cummins.
He was an office worker for the former Ball Glass Co. and later at Chubb Insurance. He was last employed as a van driver for special-needs children.
Mr. Cummins enjoyed watching college and McGuffey High School football and genealogy.
On March 1, 1963, in Taylorstown, he married Ethel Rose Penn, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Audra (Casey) Allen of Claysville; a daughter-in-law, April Cummins-Thompson; three grandsons, Charles Cummins II, David Cummins Jr. and Noah Allen; two granddaughters, Tessa Cummins and Avery Allen; two stepgrandsons, Tyler Filby and Ron Nelson; six sisters, Dorothy Clutter, Mona Lesnock, Shirley Phillips, Betty (Ralph) Sprowls, Mary Pettit and Judy (Rocky) McDonough; special cousins John and Carolyn Penn, David and Judy Penn and Marjorie Penn MacNeal; and special friends Ed and Mary Lee Rizor.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, are a son, David Cummins Sr.; a brother, Robert Cummins; and two sisters, Frances Lytton and Maureen Main.
There will be no visitation or funeral service. A memorial service will take place at a time and date to be announced.
