Richard W. Wenta

Richard W. Wenta, 77, of Houston, died Tuesday, October 1, 2013, in Humbert Lane Health Care Centre, South Strabane Township.
He was born November 26, 1935, in Pittsburgh, a son of Richard W. and Augusta Fauth Wenta.
Mr. Wenta was a Korean-era veteran of the Army, serving from October 1, 1954, until his honorable discharge September 5, 1957, with a rank of specialist, third class. He was awarded a Good Conduct Medal.
For 25 years, he worked as a food broker for McClay Foods.
Mr. Wenta was a member of Living Stone Community Church, Washington, and enjoyed planting flowers, gardening and dogs.
His wife, Patricia Kopp Waugh Wenta, whom he married March 9, 2002, survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Richard Wenta of Carver, Minn., and James Wenta of Munhall; a daughter, Susan Orsino of Upper St. Clair; and five grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 3, with the Rev. Paul Harrington officiating. Entombment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Township. Military rites will be accorded graveside by American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post 175.
