Loving husband and father
Richard A. Shultz, 29, of Houston, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, October 17, 2013, in Allegheny General Hospital.
He was born January 29, 1984, in Washington, a son of David and Barbara Partyka Shultz of Houston, who both survive.
Mr. Shultz lived his entire life in Houston, where he was a 2002 graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School and the Western Area Career and Technology Center.
He worked for Scheirer Machine Company as a machinist and programmer, where he enjoyed machinery, programming and tinkering.
Mr. Shultz was an avid fisherman, loved the outdoors, riding dirt bikes and quads.
He was a loving husband and father and enjoyed spending time with his family and his faithful dog, Bubba’s, but especially his two sons.
On June 27, 2009, he married his beloved wife, Melissa Romanosky Shultz, who survives. Also surviving are his two sons, Ryan Shultz and Zach Eland; sister, Shannon Shultz (Doug Marting) of South Park; maternal grandmother Theresa Partyka of Houston; paternal grandmother Mary Shultz of Eighty Four; in-laws Keith and Shirlene Romanosky; brother-in-law Matt (Jen) Romanosky; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Deceased are his twin brother, Ryan Matthew Shultz, who passed away April 14, 2006, and his maternal and paternal grandfathers.
Friends are welcome on from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, October 21, in Salandra Funeral Service Inc., Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg. Both service and burial will be private.
