Retired presser enjoyed flower gardening
Helen R. Knesovich, 91, of Brownsville, Centerville Borough, died Monday, September 2, 2013, in Monongahela Valley Hospital.
She was born October 18, 1921, in Stoneboro, a daughter of the late John and Virginia McKinley Kreitner.
Mrs. Knesovich was a 1939 graduate of Centerville High School.
She worked as a presser for Brownsville Sportswear, retiring in 1992 after 21 years of service.
For more than 60 years, she was a member of St. Michael Church of St. Oliver Plunkett Parish, Fredericktown.
She enjoyed flower gardening and taking care of her home.
Her husband, David G. Knesovich, died in 1973.
Surviving are a son, David J. Knesovich Sr. of Imperial: four grandchildren, David J. Knesovich Jr. and Steven, Kevin and Nicole Knesovich; four great-grandchildren, Cassie, Cody, Miranda and Ethan Knesovich; two stepgreat-grandchildren, Riyuji and Yumi Bermudez; a sister, Mary Virginia Neagley of Spring Hill, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are sister Ann Bernharty and brother-in-law Albert Bernharty.
Friends will be received from 2 to 7 p.m. Thursday in John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, where a blessing service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 6, with the Rev. Paul Grunebach officiating. Interment will be in Westland Cemetery, Brownsville. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Oliver Plunkett Parish, P.O.
