Enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren
Betty Virginia Cole, 92, of Washington, died Wednesday, September 4, 2013, in her home.
She was born November 1, 1920, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Harry and Jeanette Wilsman Casterline.
A homemaker, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, quilting and going to flea markets.
On March 29, 1941, she married Allen Thorne Cole Jr., who died August 26, 2003.
Surviving are five sons, Allen T. “Butch” (Linda) Cole of Washington, Terry Cole of Carteret, N.J., David Cole, Dale “Buck” (Barb) Cole and Patrick (Pam) Cole, all of Washington; a daughter, Kathleen (Harm) Hoffaker of Leavittsburg, Ohio; a brother, Vernon G. Casterline; a sister, Bonnie Jirles; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, James “Ham” Cole; three sisters, Dorothy Albaugh, Linda Casterline and Grace McVeigh; and two brothers, Harry “Ed” Casterline and William Casterline.
Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 5 to 8 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Home Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 7. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
