Rosalie E. Dips

First Baptist Church Sunday school teacher
Rosalie E. Dips, 90, of Midway, went to be in the heavenly kingdom Saturday, September 7, 2013, surrounded by her loving family, in her home.
She was born December 9, 1922, in Beachview, a daughter of the late Lewis and Wreatha Malick Gracie.
Mrs. Dips was a graduate of Midway High School and worked as a sales clerk for the former Hi Gal Shop in McDonald and for Fidel Cleaners in Bridgeville. She retired in 2001.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Midway, where she was a member of the choir and a Sunday school teacher. She sang in the Methodist Church Choir for many years and was head of the Methodist Women.
Mrs. Dips loved horseback riding and was fond of her Sorel, Lucky.
Surviving are a daughter, Sharon Herman of Midway; a granddaughter, Beth M. (John) Hutton of Hampstead, N.C.; and two sisters, Adine (Renee) Freville of Midway and Loretta (Bob) Gilbert of Hartsville, S.C.
Deceased are her husband, Richard R. Dips, and a daughter, Sheila Dips Bednarzik.
