Willing to lend a hand and her heart

Lucille May Wilson, 58, of Canonsburg, passed away unexpectedly at 10:32 p.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2013, in UPMC-Presbyterian hospital, Pittsburgh, with her loving family by her side.

She was born May 8, 1955, in Canonsburg, a daughter of the late Katherine Sandella English.

Mrs. Wilson lived her entire life in Canonsburg. She was a homemaker and a member of Good News Fellowship in Canonsburg.

She leaves behind many friends and was loved by all. She enjoyed being with her family, children and grandchildren and was always willing to lend a hand and her heart.

On June 16, 2007, she married Frank L. Wilson Jr., who survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Tera Nelson of Canonsburg; a son, Daniel (Jenn) Staley of Muse; three beloved grandchildren, Arianna and Xavier Nelson and Antonio (AJ) Staley; a sister, Shirley (John) Vasko; two brothers, Charles (Patty) English Jr. and Wayne English, both of Canonsburg; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 p.m., the time of services, Saturday, September 14, in Salandra Funeral Service Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120. Following the 4 p.m. service with pastor Phil Pace officiating, all attending are invited to a repast wake and fellowship.
