Rose Longo Potenzini, 85, of Steubenville, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2013, in Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville, with her loving family by her side.
She was born February 15, 1928, in Burgettstown, a daughter of the late James and Vincenza Battaglia Longo.
Mrs. Potenzini was preceded in death by her husband, Dominic Potenzini; a brother, Anthony Longo; and a sister-in-law, Sue Avoli Longo.
She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Steubenville, and its St. Francis Society and Catholic Women’s Club.
Mr. Potenzini was retired from The (Steubenville) Herald Star. She was active in her circle of card-playing friends.
Surviving are sons Dominic A. (Linda) Potenzini of Boca Raton, Fla., and James A. Potenzini of Steubenville; daughter Virginia “Ginny Ann” Delaney of Cave Creek, Ariz.; six grandchildren, Luke and Noelle Potenzini, Jimmy Joe and Jayson Paul (Erin) Potenzini and Dana Rose and Liam Dominic Delaney; great-grandson Dominic; and many loved nieces and nephews.
Calling hours were from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Boulevard, Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 14, in Holy Family Catholic Church, with Monsignor Gerald Calovini as celebrant. Burial will be in Mt.
