Mary Y. Nyerges
Former Mt. Morris resident
Mary Y. Nyerges, 89, of Warrenton, Va., formerly of Mt. Morris, died at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2013, in her home.
She was born Friday, January 25, 1924, in Cassville, W.Va., a daughter of the late Andy Yaromey and Eva Stecyk Yaromey.
Mrs. Nyerges was Catholic.
She had served as special education aide in Maryland and was a homemaker.
On April 15, 1961, she married Vince M. Nyerges, who died July 7, 2006.
Surviving are a daughter, Christina and Randy Suhrie of Warrenton; a granddaughter, Grace Suhrie of Warrenton; three sisters, Ann Molina of Flint, Mich., Rose Steele of Cleveland, Ohio, and Charlotte Bennett of Morgantown, W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are five brothers, John Roman, Charles Yaromey, Nick Roman, Henry Yaromey and Alec Yaromey.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., Daryl L. Throckmorton, owner/director, 324 Mt. Morris Road, P.O. Box 478, Mt. Morris, PA 15349, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 17. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Mt. Morris.
