Helen Tokar Lockman

Helen Tokar Lockman, 88, died Thursday, September 26, 2013, in Strabane Woods, South Strabane Township.

Deceased are her parents, Michael and Anna Tokar; husband of 48 years Alexander “Ted” Lockman; daughter-in-law Marsh (Brody) Lockman; brother Michael Tokar; sister Ann Scalzi; and niece Sally Scalzi.

Surviving are son Michael J. Lockman (Ginny); granddaughters Ashley Marsh (Matt) of Houston, Texas, and Brittany Lockman of Columbus, Ohio; and nephews John Scalzi, Bill Tokar and Dick Tokar.

She was a member of St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church in Canonsburg for several decades.

Mrs. Lockman was employed as a factory worker at Brockway Glass in Washington.

She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.

Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in Dale D. DeAngelo Funeral Home, 1290 Jefferson Avenue. Washington, where a prayer service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, September 28, with the Rev. Joseph Jugan officiating, followed by a Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Joseph Jugan, as celebrant in St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Canonsburg. Interment will be held at a later date in Washington. A Panachida service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church.
