Sarah Annabelle Sams

Sarah Annabelle Sams, 90, of Washington, died Monday, September 23, 2013, in Washington County Health Center, Chartiers Township.
She was born April 11, 1923, in Cairo, W.Va., a daughter of Harry and Willa Ross Cokeley.
Mrs. Sams worked as a telephone operator and supervisor for Bell Telephone.
She was a member of Fairhill Manor Christian Church.
On October 26, 1946, she married Paul Sams, who died August 13, 1978.
Surviving are a daughter, Carol (Royal) Miller of Wardensville, W.Va.; two brothers, Calvin (Margaret) Cokeley and Holland (Alice) Cokeley, both of Washington; and a grandson, Geoffrey Miller.
Deceased are a daughter, Paulette Legler, and a sister, Zoe Mae Tarr.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 28, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Inurnment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
