St. Alphonsus Church member was dog trainer
Agnes R. Richards, 91, of McDonald, formerly of Midway, died Thursday, September 26, 2013, in Kane Regional Center, Ross Township.
She was born April 5, 1922, in Scott Haven, a daughter of the late William and Ann Spang Bregar.
Mrs. Richards was a clerk at the McDonald A&P Tea Store and was an owner and trainer for Richards Dog School.
She was a member of St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, 30-year member and former officer of Golden Triangle Obedience Training Club of Pittsburgh and a member of McDonald and Midway senior citizens.
Surviving are a daughter, Carol (Edward) Maslanka of Pittsburgh; grandchildren Michael, Christian and Jody; and three great-grandchildren, Jonny, Lilly and Emily.
Deceased are her husband, Thomas J. Richards; four brothers; two sisters; and four stepsisters.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Thomas-Little Funeral Service Inc., 314 West Lincoln Avenue, McDonald, 724-926-2800. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, September 30, in St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, 219 West Lincoln Avenue, McDonald. Interment will follow in Robinson Run Cemetery, McDonald.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the local humane society.
