Dorothy E. Kelley, 95, of Washington, died Wednesday, February 5, 2014, in Donnell House, Washington.

She was born June 30, 1918, in Washington, a daughter of the late Stewart J. and Bertania Frazier Pearl.

Mrs. Kelley was a 1936 graduate of Trinity High School and was a homemaker.

She was a member of St. Paul AME Church in Washington, where she belonged to “Busy Bee Club.” She was also on the house committee at LeMoyne House in Washington.

On August 28, 1939, in Washington, she married Thomas V. Kelley, who died July 1973.

Surviving are a son, Leonard E. (Connie) Kelley of Washington; 13 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren, too numerous to mention.

Deceased are two sons, John and Elmer Kelley, and three brothers, Robert, Warren and Wilson Pearl.

Friends will be received from noon to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Piatt and Barnhill Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 10, with the Rev. Samuel Ware officiating. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
