George Sepac
Hunter, fisherman and golfer served in World War II
George Sepac, 89, of Republic, and formerly of Jefferson and Mather, passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2014, in Golden Living Center, Uniontown.
He was born September 8, 1924, in Herminie, a son of the late Matthew Sepac and Elizabeth Cipcic Sepac.
Mr. Sepac retired from Beth Energy’s Marianna Mine.
He was a member of United Mine Workers Association; a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Forces serving in World War II; and a member of Filer-Sadlek American Legion Post of Jefferson.
Mr. Sepac was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer.
In addition to his parents, deceased are three sisters and a brother.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Josephine Finky Vukmanic Sepac; a daughter, Melissa Kish and husband Robert of New Salem; a son, Randy Sepac of Mather; two grandchildren, Robert A. Kish and wife Emily of Providence, R.I., and Dr. Rachel Kish of Scranton; and many nieces and nephews.
In accordance with his wishes, the funeral will be private for his family and under the direction of Robert T. Kish Funeral Home, Republic.
