Mike Giles, 56, of Millsboro, died Tuesday, January 21, 2014, in Monongahela Valley Hospital.
He was born September 5, 1957, in Waynesburg, a son of Albert Giles of Millsboro and Suzanne Burrell.
Mr. Giles was a 1975 graduate of Bethlehem-Center High School and he attended Christian Assembly of God in Bentleyville.
He was the owner and operator of Country Fresh Market and Fredericktown Produce in Centerville.
His greatest pleasure was spending time with his grandchildren and family boating on the Monongahela River. His gentle nature and ready smile will be missed.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his wife, Donna Morris Giles, whom he married October 18, 1975; children Valerie Jean Giles and Adam Michael Giles (Jaime), all of Millsboro; grandchildren Brooke Madison Williams, Jonah Michael Giles and Preslynn Jeanne Giles; siblings Teddy Giles, Danny Giles (Karen), Amy Pashea (John), Dayna Giovanelli (Mark) and Cindy Jean Stopko (Robbie); and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased is a brother, John Bodnar.
Friends will be received from 1 to 9 p.m. Friday and 10 to 11 a.m., time of service, Saturday, January 25, in Frank Burkus Funeral Home, 26 Mill Street, Millsboro, 724-377-2400, with Pastor John Pipp and Pastor Paul Peternel, officiating. Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
