Washington homemaker enjoyed bingo, cards

Norma Jean Wise, 85, of Washington, died Thursday, January 23, 2014, in Donnell House.

She was born July 21, 1928, in Tippecanoe, Ohio, a daughter of the late Russell Pierce and Irena Bedillion Pierce.

Mrs. Wise was a homemaker and enjoyed playing cards and bingo. When she was younger, she loved to dance.

On October 1, 1949, she married Jess W. Wise, who died November 12, 1990.

Surviving are four sons, Robert Wise of Kentucky, Donald Wise of Washington, Ronald (Jennifer) Wise of Claysville and Timothy (Wendy) Wise of Washington; a brother, Max Pierce of Mays Landing, N.J.; a sister, Marion Brehler of Canton, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Deceased are a daughter, Linda Dague, and two brothers, Leslie and Ken Pierce.

Friends will be received from 1 to 5 p.m., the time of service, Saturday, January 25, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. The Rev. Donald Waltermyer Jr. will officiate.
