Lawrence J. “Larry” Champagne, 63, of Eighty Four, died Sunday, January 26, 2014, in his home, with his family by his side.
He was born December 20, 1950, in Cass City, Mich., a son of the late Kenneth J. and Norma Feldman Champagne.
Mr. Champagne served in the U.S. Army from 1969 until he was faithfully and honorably retired in 1972, receiving the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Purple Heart.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors, shooting pool and life itself.
Surviving are two sons, Larry W. Champagne and Jason M. (Haley) Champagne; a sister, Donna (Al) Sampson; three brothers, Kenneth (Deborah) Champagne, David (Linda) Champagne and Jeffrey (Kimberly) Champagne; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and family.
Also surviving is his faithful companion, Chico.
Deceased is a brother, Norman Champagne.
