Robert Dennis Castellino
1932-2014
Robert Dennis Castellino, 81, of Jupiter, Fla., formerly of Burgettstown, passed away unexpectedly Friday, May 30, 2014.
He was born July 25, 1932, in Burgettstown, a son of the late William Michael and Philomenia Cavalier Castellino.
After graduating from Union High School in Burgettstown, he graduated from barber school in Pittsburgh.
Along with his father, he operated Castellino’s Barber Shop on Main Street in Burgettstown for 20 years, while also working for Climax Molybdenum in Langeloth. After moving to Florida, he worked for and retired from Pratt Whitney.
Mr. Castellino enjoyed gardening, watching the fishermen at the Florida inlet and going to car shows. He was a member of Moose Lodge, where he cooked for its spaghetti dinners.
Surviving are his wife, Rose Marie Castellino, whom he married in 1953; a daughter, Christine Castellino-Sigman and husband Gordon of St. Lucie West, Fla.; two sons, Robert Castellino and wife Nancy of Jupiter and Daniel Castellino and wife Janet of Burgettstown; four grandchildren, Gia DeLaFe and husband Steven, Dan Castellino, Nick Castellino and Malia Castellino; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, are two brothers, William and Joseph Castellino.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Lee and Martin Funeral Home, 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 5, in Our Lady of Lourdes R.C. Church, Burgettstown, with the Rev. George Moneck, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
