Retired coal miner was Army veteran
Bernard Dolansky, 69, of Rices Landing, died Thursday, February 27, 2014 in Donnell House, Washington.
He was born August 18, 1944, in Crucible, a son of the late Stephen and Mary Lucas Dolansky.
Mr. Dolansky served in the U.S. Army and was a retired coal miner from the former Emerald Coal Mine, Waynesburg. He was a member of United Mine Workers of America.
He most enjoyed his wife, kids and grandchildren, and listening to music.
On May 25, 1963, he married Dolly Celli, who survives.
Also surviving are two children, Tammy (Mark) Strube of Carlisle and Tony Dolansky of Rices Landing; three grandchildren, Matthew Strube, Stephanie (Dustin) Bailess and Andrew Strube; a brother, Ed Dolansky of Austin, Texas; and two sisters, Helen Visnesky of Fairless Hills and Anna Martinez of West Virginia.
Deceased are six brothers, Francis Joe Dolansky, Adam Dolansky, Paul Dolansky, John Dolansky, Stephen Dolansky Jr. and George Dolansky; four sisters, Gertrude Holmes, Margaret Cunningham, Mary Teagarden and Catherine Lewis.
Family and friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., the hour of a memorial service, Saturday, March 8, 2014, in Greene Valley Presbyterian Church, 104 East Greene Street, Carmichaels, with the Rev. Keith Larson officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Greene Valley Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 363, Carmichaels, PA 15320.
